Lower Costs. Fair Markets. A Florida That Works for Families.
Floridians are doing everything right. They are working hard, playing by the rules, and still falling behind. Rent continues to rise faster than paychecks. Grocery bills stretch family budgets thinner every month. Health care costs are placing enormous pressure on families, veterans, and seniors, and too many people fear it will only get worse. That is not the American Dream, and it does not have to be our future.
I am running for U.S. Senate to lower costs where it matters most by focusing on a clear, practical affordability agenda built around three essentials that touch every household: Housing, Groceries, and Health Care.
Housing You Can Actually Afford
Housing used to be the foundation of the middle class. Today, it has become the biggest source of stress for families across Florida. Too many people who work full time still cannot afford rent, let alone buy a home. I will fight to lower rents and home prices by increasing housing supply and holding corporate landlords accountable when they engage in price gouging. I will work to protect first time homebuyers from Wall Street investors who scoop up homes and drive prices out of reach. I will also push to expand affordable workforce housing so teachers, nurses, first responders, and other essential workers can live in the communities they serve. This is not about growing government. It is about making sure the housing market works for people, not just for large corporations.
Groceries Without the Gouging
Families should not need a calculator just to shop for dinner. Yet many Floridians feel like every trip to the grocery store comes with sticker shock. A major reason is corporate consolidation, which has reduced competition and allowed a small number of companies to raise prices while posting record profits. I will take on price gouging and monopolies that raise food prices without justification. I will support local farmers and producers so Florida can build a stronger, more reliable food supply. I will also work to lower everyday costs without raising taxes on working families. When competition is fair and markets are honest, prices come down. It really is that simple.
Health Care That Does Not Break the Bank
No Floridian should have to choose between seeing a doctor and paying the rent. Yet too many people delay care, skip prescriptions, or go without treatment because the cost is too high. I will fight to lower prescription drug prices so families are not punished for needing medication. I will protect coverage for people with pre existing conditions so no one is denied care when they need it most. I will also expand access to affordable health care, especially in rural and underserved communities where options are limited. Health care should be focused on keeping people healthy, not maximizing corporate profits.
A Practical and Common Sense Approach
I believe in solutions that work. I am a policy geek who cares deeply about getting the details right, and an athlete who knows that discipline, teamwork, and grit are what lead to real results. That is why this campaign is focused on outcomes, not labels. It is pro work, pro family, pro competition, and pro freedom from corporate abuse. We can lower costs and strengthen the middle class while still honoring opportunity and personal responsibility.
The Bottom Line
HGH is about restoring balance. When housing is affordable, groceries are fairly priced, and health care is accessible, families can thrive. Businesses grow, communities get stronger, and Florida moves forward. If you work hard, you should be able to build a good life. That is what I am fighting for.
