MEET JOEY
I'm Joey Mendoza Atkins, and most people simply call me Joey.
I am running for Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture because I believe government should protect the people—not special interests.
As a trial attorney, my legal practice has focused on representing individuals and families in civil litigation. Some of my proudest work stems from my work in providing legal aid to migrant farmworkers and DACA recipients.
My professional experience has included both the practice of law and work in international economic development, giving me experience across the legal, nonprofit, public, and private sectors.
In addition to legal and policy experience, I am a sports agent, representing college and professional athletes while negotiating contracts and career opportunities.
I am so thankful to have a professional background that spans law, international development, advocacy, and athletics, providing experience across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
